The Last of Summer

Autumn is in full swing... seriously. It has done nothing but rain all day, which makes this blog post my last of summer post. Although, I feel constantly annoyed at just how cold it is outside, I am a true lover of autumn dressing. In fact sometimes, I really didn't wish I have a blog during the summer months, because I truly struggle to find summer outfits I really love. However, fall has an abundance of choices- chunky knits, jewel tones, thigh high boots.

One thing I did want to talk about in this outfit, was that you don't have to put all of your summer pieces away, you can toughen them up for autumn. This shirt was a prime contender for transitional dressing for me. I think you could easily pair this top with a pair of cropped flare jeans and a chunky cardigan and easily take it into autumn. Another key piece for transitional dressing is a denim mini skirt. I remember pouring through pages of TeenVogue as a kid and every autumn during the start of school they would pair everything with a denim mini skirt and the look never got old to me. Its cool, classic, understated and most importantly versatile!

Belated Birthday Blog

Harry and I are so lucky to share our birthday weekend, as our birthdays are only 6 days apart. Part of our Birthday celebration was our trip to Bordeaux, which as you know from my last post was a weekend of perfection. However, we did lots more the following weekend when we were at home in London.

Bordeaux Travel Guide

Harry and I recently skipped off for a long weekend in Bordeaux, as a little birthday treat for both of us. Bordeaux took me by surprise, it ticks all off all of my standard travel requirements- good weather, delicious food, and gorgeous buildings. Since we loved it so much, I thought I would do a mini travel guide below, but if you want to see more, I linked our video above!!

Summer Chloe Inspired Look

I have a really tough time dressing for Summer. I am much more of an Autumn (color-wise) and so finding the best pieces for summer always seems to be a bit tricky. I love the pastels, lace, and chiffon, but somehow some of these things end up looking a bit basic on me. So my solution to summer dressing is to take inspiration from my favorite summer designers to elevate my look. True- I do this with all seasons really, but its especially tricky in Summer.

When I was younger I never really appreciated Chloé designs. I think I found them quite expensive for something that didn't have as much 'pop' as I would like, but that has all changed! Now I have a greater appreciation for Chloe's floaty chiffon pieces, bohemian chic dresses, and the Nile bag... breaks my tiny heart its so stunning.
