Budapest Review

So unfortunately since graduating and moving to London, I no longer have access to a camera, so its almost impossible to post outfits, which is a shame, because its my favorite. However, I have just been to Budapest and as this blog is also about traveling...

If you're looking for glamour and romance, Budapest is truly a hidden gem and I mean that in more ways than one! Aside from it not being an ultra popular tourist destination a la Saint Tropez or Miami, Budapest's romance is definitely on the inside. When walking around the town many buildings look plain on the outside, even run down, but once you step inside, the restaurants and shops are nothing short of gorgeous.
We stayed at the Corinthia hotel, which I didn't post a photo of simply because the photos don't do it justice. Amazing customer service, GORGEOUS room, and what a relaxing spa!

Our other favorite, must-see place was The Book Cafe. Nestled away in the top floor of a huge bookstore on the elegant Andrassy Ave, we would have never found this place if it wasn't for our concierge. The entire cafe is gilded in gold with baroque ceilings, Gatsby-esque chandeliers and piano music drifting in the air. Its pure unadulterated elegance.

Almond hot chocolate and Chocolate Gateau to die for.

As I have written a short essay on some of the hidden gems buried in this treasure town, I think its safe to say Budapest has a rare old school glamour, that I couldn't get enough of!
