A Winter Hot Cocoa!

'Tis the season to snuggle up with a cup of hot cocoa!
Harry and I love snuggling on the couch in the chilly winter months with a cup of hot cocoa and a good christmas movie. We grab a furry blanket, throw on our PJs, and have a quick quibble about which movie to watch... he loves Elf, I'm a die hard Love Actually fan and then we get to sip the most delicious cocoa recipe ever.

We stumbled upon this recipe while looking at Chambord cocktails- our family are BIG Chambord fans and we almost always pop a little tipple into our champagne, when we saw this in a hot chocolate recipe, we HAD to give it a go, I mean raspberry, liquor, chocolate... what's not to like?

Chambord Hot Chocolate Recipe

4tbs of luxury hot chocolate mix
8 ounces of whole milk
1 ounce of Chambord raspberry liquor
Whipped cream and chocolate sauce to taste

1. Heat the milk on low heat on a saucepan on the stove
2. Add the hot chocolate mix tbs by tbs making sure it dissolves well
3. Bring the hot chocolate off of the stove and let cool so its not boiling. (If its boiling it will burn off the alcohol in the liquor).
4. Add 1 ounce of Chambord to the saucepan... top up if desired ;)
5. Pour into festive mugs (ours are from pottery barn) and top up with whipped cream

Top Tip: Line the inside of your mugs with chocolate sauce for a richer taste.
