It's Beginning to Look A lot like Christmas!

I am hoping to blog a bit more in December as its my favorite month, so I thought I would do the Christmas tag. I didn’t do all of the questions, but there are a lot! I also shared some photos of my tree- we choose gold, silver and champagne colors on a flocked tree and I fell in love. If you want to know a bit more about how I decorate my tree, check out my post here. I use all of the same baubles from last year + a few new ones each year. I also love watching Lisa Robertson videos on youtube... She is a genius!

What is your favourite Christmas film?
My favorite Christmas film is probably Love Actually. It reminds me of all the times Harry and I spent parting ways at Heathrow. Love actually is all around us!

Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Yes! My very first Christmas at Harry’s house in London. It was freezing and I was totally unprepared, but at least we got a white Christmas from it!

What is your favourite Christmas song?
Anything Michael Bublé. I adore his Christmas music, it plays in our house all through December.

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
We always have Christmas dinner with Harry’s entire family and then open presents after. It always feels so magical.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Artificial. We had a real tree the first couple of years, but the mess was just too much. And it has a bad environmental impact, but I do miss the smell, nothing smells better than a real pine tree.

What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
Eggnog!!!! Unfortunately they don’t really do eggnog in the UK though. I did make it from scratch one year using Jamie’s best ever eggnog recipe. Trust me. It really was the BEST EVER. http://www.jamieoliver.com/news-and-features/features/best-eggnog-recipe/

Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
In all honesty, I couldn’t tell you. I love love love getting presents, but then I also get equally excited when I know I’ve given Harry like a smashing gift. I feel quite smug.

What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
This is such a tough one, but I think it would be my vintage ur coat. Harry’s grandma gave me her fur coat for Christmas last year. I have always wanted a fur coat, but I would NEVER EVER buy a new one as I don’t believe in fur, so having a proper vintage fur coat, made me a happy bunny. Plus, it is quite a sentimental gift.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
Lapland! I want to see Santa’s grotto and reindeer! I am just too scared of the cold.

Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I love looking at beautifully wrapped presents, with small trinkets attached and the perfect ribbon. Its something you would think I would be very good at, but the truth is the hubby is much better than me!

What is your favourite thing about Christmas? Let me know if you do this tag too!
