October Monthly Favorites!

FINALLY... Autumn is in FULL swing. It's my favorite time of the year from September to December and I love everything about it. So I thought, what a perfect time to share my monthly favorites!

1. AUTUMN FESTIVITIES
We have done so many autumnal things this year, since we have had a bit more downtime. Starting with making vivid red candy apples (see my instagram!) and they were nothing short of perfection and SO easy! They definitely played the part in our Halloween decor. This is the recipe we used click here.  However, I should also probably mention all the pumpkin pancakes we've eaten on Saturday mornings, baking pumpkin bread in our Nordic Ware pumpkin patch tin, and our elegant Halloween dinner.

2. ESSIE NAIL POLISH- POOR LIL' RICH GIRL
I have an at home gel polish kit, which I absolutely adore. Honestly, I would highly recommend investing one- they pay for themselves in like 3 uses. However, what I don't adore is trying to remove the gel polish myself! So as I've had enough of gel polish for right now, I had to go back to the basics and purchase some gorgeous red nail varnishes from Essie- not to mention the name. It doesn't get more tongue-in-chic than Poor Lil' Rich Girl!

3. BEATING THE DRYNESS
The California girl in me has a tough time handling the cold weather in London and consequently everything gets drier from my hair to my hands, so to beat the dryness I invest in a few tried and tested products. Joico KPAK Conditioner has to be one of my all time favorite hair products. Any time my hair is dry or frizzy, I feel like one wash with this conditioner completely changes my hair. I don't know how it does it, but the change is just beyond. For my skin, I love the B5 hydrating serum from Dermaquest. Its one of the only things, that I know doesn't cause me to breakout and my skin feels like its drinking a smoothie.

4. CHUNKY KNITS
Let's be honest, my love of chunky knits never really stops year round, but this season has got to be the pinnacle of the chunky knit. Everytime I see them my heart actually starts to beat a little bit faster and I have invested in a couple amazing ones this season. My favorite is the red Massimo Dutti special edition jumper that came down their INCREDIBLE catwalk this season. I've seen this baby in so many high street stores and I even posted an amazing Miss Selfridge dupe on my blog here, but investing in the real deal has not let me down. My other favorite jumper is the chunky, cropped knit from Topshop, who have absolutely smashed the knitwear game this season!
