My 2017 Highlights & Reflections

Harry and I have had an amazing year! It's always a great idea to reflect on the last year and to remain grateful for all the blessings you have had.
I started the year recovering from surgery so we had a bit of a slow start, but we definitely made up for it. Our first trip was the start of our honeymoon year and we flew off to Bangkok, Krabi, Ubud, and Singapore. It was an eye opening two week trip and I saw so much beautiful scenery. You can see the blog  of our trip here!

Our next trip was to Bordeaux. This trip was all about indulgent food, warm weather, and beautiful architecture. Need I say more! I highly recommend this as an easy weekend destination from the UK. It was the perfect weekend away and a lovely way to celebrate our birthdays. You can watch the video here. Just after our trip Harry also wrapped up his project at work and got promoted- so exciting!

In September we headed off to St Petersburg and Moscow. This trip was all about experiencing another culture and seeing all the landmarks Russia has to offer. We saw some of the most REMARKABLE things in Russia. My favourite sites we saw were Lenin's mausoleum, St Basil's cathedral, and the carriage room at the Kremlin... honestly the list could go on... definitely worth visiting or if that fails, you can watch the video here.

It was only 3 days after I got back from Russia that I headed off to New York city with the girls. We saw all the sites and ate at Beauty and Essex as well as TAO. Who knows, maybe I will get to take Harry there this year or next. New York weather was hot hot hot and couldn't have been more different than Russia.
After NY, Harry and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We kept it low-key because I have to admit we were exhausted from all that traveling, but we both count Russia as our anniversary trip, so we could take it easy.
After all that Harry and I headed to my home in Los Angeles, to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family ... and maybe do a little black Friday shopping. 2017 was an amazing year and I'm looking forward to doing more of the same in 2018. Shopping, traveling, and eating my way through 2018!

  7. Before my wedding I asked many last minute questions from the manager at wedding venues, and his answer was always: "we have that covered" or "no problem". It was extremely comforting. I am so thankful to their manager and their staff for all of their efforts on our behalf.
