How to Stay Après Ski Chic

The views on the slopes in Austria were some of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. Recently Harry and I left the hustle and bustle of London and travelled by plane and bus to spend a week in Zell-Am-See, Austria. It was a wonderful week of skiing, amazing food and drink, mountain views, and après ski. We spent some time swishing down the slopes... only blue for me! We drank champagne and ate Apple strudel at the top of the pistes overlooking snow covered pine trees. We indulged in Kasespatzle and all the alpine vibes.

Unfortunately, skiing doesn't love me quite as much as I love a ski holiday, so for me a week in the mountains has to revolve around the après ski and mountain views. Harry and I made our way to the top of the nearest glacier in Salzburg- Kitzsteinhorn, which is 3,029 m high! Needless to say the views were like nothing I'd ever seen before. So if you're like me and less inclined to sliding down the side of a mountain with two sticks strapped on your feet, here's what to wear off the slopes.

THE BASICS
The very first thing I packed were base layers to go under any outfit. Thermal tees and these amazing leggings which are lined with THICK velvet/fleece, I wore them with all my outfits. My next purchase was a pair of Moon Boots. I don't think I had cold feet once the entire trip and that's coming from someone who lives with numb toes. They're exceedingly comfortable and its a massive bonus that they feel like you are walking on clouds.

After the basics, comes the most fun part of your outfit- not that I didn't have A LOT of fun picking  out my Moon Boots they come in so many different colors and designs and you can snag some serious deals, but the most fun is probably the coat. It goes without saying that the snow is pretty cold, so have some fun and pick a faux fur coat with a pop of color! Everyone is very into bright colors and the slopes and why not? The contrast looks amazing against the snow. Most of the ones I linked below are well under £100!
